Styling Guide
For my style of photography, you’ll want to choose a softer, neutral color palette that
photographs beautifully and keeps the focus on you.

Styling Do's
Choose Soft Colors
Neutral tones create timeless images. Consider creams, light grays, sage, pale blues, blush, or mustard yellow. These tones complement natural light and backgrounds, allowing your connection and personality to shine.
Add Texture
Layering different textures adds depth and interest to your images. Consider denim, lace, linen, knits, or flowy fabrics. Accessories like scarves, hats, or blankets can also bring cozy texture to your photos.
Prints & Pattern
Subtle prints — like small florals, plaid, or gingham — work well when kept soft and minimal.
Styling Dont's
Bright Colors
Bright tones can overpower an image and even cast unwanted colors on your skin. Muted and neutral shades create a timeless look that lasts.
Busy Patterns & Logos
Bold prints, stripes, and cartoon characters can distract from the connection and emotions we want to capture. Instead, keep prints subtle and soft.
Too Much Matching
Instead of everyone in identical outfits, aim for colors and textures that complement each other. This creates a beautifully coordinated look without feeling forced.

Styling for Newborn Sessions
To make things simple and comfortable, I bring along a few essentials for your newborn session:
- A selection of neutral wraps in soft, timeless tones
- Posing pillows to keep baby cozy and supported
- A white wicker basket that photographs beautifully if you’d like to use it
You’re always welcome to include personal touches, such as special keepsakes, heirloom blankets, or favorite outfits. These little details help make your images uniquely yours.
✨ To keep baby happy and relaxed, I recommend no more than two outfit changes during the session — this allows us to capture a variety of looks without disrupting their comfort.
